“The future of education is not only about what students know, but also what they can create with what they know. By bringing together CHEA’s higher education network, TKA’s technology and learning capabilities, and Toptimize’s innovation and commercialization expertise, we have an opportunity to build stronger bridges from learning to application and from ideas to impact.”— Mr. Lydet PIDOR, Co-Founder & CEO, Toptimize Co., Ltd.

On 20 August 2026, the Cambodian Higher Education Association (CHEA), Tech for Kids Academy (TKA), and Toptimize Co., Ltd. officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishing a strategic framework to advance technology education, artificial intelligence (AI) literacy, future skills, innovation and entrepreneurship within Cambodia’s education sector.

The collaboration reflects a shared belief that preparing the next generation requires more than teaching technology alone. Students and educators increasingly need opportunities to learn, apply, innovate and transform ideas into practical solutions.

Through this partnership, the three organizations will explore how their complementary strengths can create a stronger pathway connecting education, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Connecting Education, Innovation and Real-World Application

As technology continues to reshape industries and the future of work, higher education has an important role not only in developing knowledge, but also in enabling students to apply that knowledge to real-world challenges.

The collaboration brings together three complementary capabilities:

CHEA — Institutional Network & Higher Education Engagement

CHEA will facilitate engagement with its member institutions, support communication and coordination, and help connect relevant initiatives with universities, educators and students within its network.

Tech for Kids Academy — Technology & Future Skills

TKA will contribute expertise, curricula, training and learning resources across areas including AI, digital literacy, coding, robotics, emerging technologies and entrepreneurship. TKA will also support educator capacity building and the development of programs appropriate to participating institutions.

Toptimize — Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Commercialization

Toptimize will contribute expertise in innovation, entrepreneurship, commercialization, program design, research, stakeholder engagement and project coordination.

Through this role, Toptimize will help connect promising ideas and projects with practical approaches to problem validation, business model development, entrepreneurship and potential pathways toward commercialization.

Together, these capabilities create an opportunity to develop a more connected pathway: Learn → Apply → Innovate → Validate → Create Impact

Developing the Next Generation of Solution Creators

At the heart of the collaboration is a shared ambition to empower young people not simply as users of technology, but increasingly as creators, innovators and problem-solvers.

Under the MoU, CHEA, TKA and Toptimize will explore initiatives including:

  • Technology, AI and future-skills programs;
  • Educator training and professional development;
  • Student innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives;
  • Mentorship and hands-on project development;
  • Technology competitions, innovation challenges and showcases;
  • Research, pilot programs and other jointly agreed initiatives.

These activities can help students move beyond classroom knowledge toward identifying real problems, developing solutions, testing ideas, and gaining exposure to entrepreneurship and innovation.

Building Bridges Between Education and the Innovation Economy

“The future of education is not only about what students know, but also what they can create with what they know. By bringing together CHEA’s higher education network, TKA’s technology and learning capabilities, and Toptimize’s innovation and commercialization expertise, we have an opportunity to build stronger bridges from learning to application and from ideas to impact.”

Mr. Lydet PIDOR, Co-Founder & CEO, Toptimize Co., Ltd.

Moving forward, the three organizations will work together to identify suitable pilot programs and collaboration opportunities with CHEA member institutions.

The MoU provides a foundation for longer-term cooperation aimed at strengthening educator capacity, developing future-ready talent, encouraging student innovation, and creating stronger connections between education, technology, entrepreneurship, and Cambodia’s evolving digital economy.

This is not simply about introducing more technology into education.

It is about helping build an environment where the next generation can learn technology, apply knowledge, solve meaningful problems and create solutions with the potential to generate economic and social value.
