This program helped me better understand my own potential and gave me opportunities to learn from many role models. Here, we grow and learn together in an environment filled with creativity and an open vision toward the world.
In the context of digital transformation, equipping young people with technological capabilities is a crucial foundation for national development. The Technovation Girls Cambodia x Future Digital Talents program is organized annually to provide a platform that enables Cambodian youth to learn, showcase their abilities, and develop solutions to community challenges through technology and entrepreneurship.
Since 2014, Technovation Cambodia has built a strong foundation in supporting and empowering thousands of female students in the fields of technology and entrepreneurship. Entering 2025, the program introduced a new initiative, “Future Digital Talents,” which expands opportunities for male students to participate, develop their skills, and demonstrate their potential in an inclusive environment.
From 2019 to 2024, more than 3,000 students from 25 provinces and municipalities registered to participate under the dedicated guidance of over 600 mentors from the technology and business sectors. As a remarkable achievement, Cambodian youth have proudly represented the nation on the international stage. Notably, in 2017 and 2019, two Cambodian female teams were selected as Global Finalists and traveled to San Francisco, USA, to present their projects in person. To date, a total of 12 teams have advanced to the World Summit level.
For youth aged 8 to 18, participation in this program is a meaningful journey of learning and personal development. Over a 12-week period, participants gain essential knowledge and skills, including:
• Technology and coding skills: Hands-on coding to transform ideas into functional mobile applications.
• Business and entrepreneurship knowledge: Learning about market research, business planning, and professional pitching.
• Leadership and teamwork: Building self-confidence, problem-solving skills, and public speaking abilities.
In recognition and celebration of outstanding youth potential, national champion teams will receive opportunities to join overseas study visits. For example, over the past two years, our champion teams traveled to Singapore to gain firsthand exposure to advancements in technology and educational innovation. Beyond the study visits, participants also had rare opportunities to meet and engage with global experts, deepening their understanding of startups and entrepreneurship at an international level.
An even greater honor awaits teams of female students selected as Global Finalists, who will represent Cambodia at the Technovation World Summit. In previous years, this international event was held in the United States; however, in 2026, it will be hosted for the first time in Bengaluru, India.
Reflecting on the value of this experience, Ms. Hout Meiling, a member of Team MNRR and the 2025 National Champion, shared:
“This program helped me better understand my own potential and gave me opportunities to learn from many role models. Here, we grow and learn together in an environment filled with creativity and an open vision toward the world.”
The success achieved over the past 11 years is the result of collective effort and collaboration among strategic partners, teachers, parents, and—most importantly—the determination and passion of all participating students, working together to create positive change for the nation and the world.
