The quality of this curriculum is reflected not only in the number of beneficiaries but also in the high distinction achieved by students in national and international competitions, demonstrating that Cambodian students are successfully evolving into highly capable "Digital Human Capital.
Building digital human capital is a vital mission aligned with the Pentagonal Strategy – Phase 1 of the Royal Government of Cambodia. To fulfill this mission, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) has officially launched Phase 2 of the "Digital Skills Learning Program" across 18 additional target primary schools.
The official launch ceremony was held at Rohat Tuek Primary School in Banteay Meanchey province. The event was presided over by H.E. So Visothy, Secretary of State of the MPTC and Chairman of the Digital Skills Learning Program, and H.E. Hay Hunleng, High Representative of H.E. Senior Minister Pich Sophoan and member of the Secretariat of the National Committee for Promoting the Implementation of Key Measures in the Education Sector (CME).
The success of the 2024-2025 pilot program stands as a testament to the effective collaboration between the public and private sectors. As a national pilot project, it has received dedicated government investment under the leadership of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS), the Secretariat of the NCPKME, and Tech for Kids Academy (TKA).
In line with the digital skills classroom roadmap, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has fully invested in and supported physical infrastructure improvements, including classroom renovations and the installation of computers, smart TVs, security cameras, and high-speed internet to create standardized learning environments. Simultaneously, TKA—as the technical partner—has played a crucial role in the selection and training of digital teachers as well as curriculum development.
Since the project's inception in 2024, TKA has contributed to training a total of 62 digital teachers (including 22 women) who are now actively teaching across 60 target schools in 19 provinces and the capital. The success of this collaboration is clearly reflected in the expansion to 60 schools, reaching a total of 17,988 students. Beyond the numbers, the program's quality is underscored by students winning national and international awards, proving that Cambodia’s youth are successfully evolving into highly capable "Digital Human Capital."
As a technical partner, Tech for Kids Academy is proud to be part of this essential mission. We remain steadfast in leveraging our technical expertise and experience to actively build an inclusive and sustainable digital education ecosystem for Cambodia.
