Participants are able to make new friends along during the event
Kid-KATHON (Kid + HACKATHON) is a 2 day sprint-like event for students who are 12-15 years old initiated by Tech for Kids Academy with the purpose of encouraging students’ participation in solving existing global and local issues through technology. The goal is not to establish a perfectly coded or professionally developed product and service, but rather for them to come up with an implementable solution to tackle the issued-theme.

Gain new understanding and ideas through other teams presentation
Encourage students to find solutions to existing world problems
Allow participants to think critically, outside the box, and under pressure
Create an opportunity where children can participate in teamwork.
Participants had the chance to work with the prototype development tool, micro:bit
